  4. In this episode, the Captain of the USS Midway wants to Major Bong land the airplane along side the USS Midway. Why does he think this is a good plan at first? Why does he change his mind?
  5. If you could interview Major Larry Bong, what would you ask him? List five good questions.
  6. Research your family tree. How many veterans are in your extended family? Design a family tree showing the veterans, and where and when, they served in the militarty.

Design a word wall using one of the following words: evacuation, veteran, refugee.

The idea of a word wall is to generate a list of words related to the main word. These can be synonyms, antonyms, idioms, similes, or sayings related to the main word. You could also add affixes (prefixes and suffixes) to the main word. An example of a word wall using the word wise might include the following words: wisely, unwisely, unwise, wisdom, intelligent, smart, silly, wise as an owl. The last step in building a word wall is to classify the words by arranging them into related groups.
