    Do you collect anything? If you do, why do you collect these things? If not, what might like to collect? Why?
  1. Name three types of things that other people collect.
  2. Who is Malcolm Forbes?
  3. What does Mr. Forbes collect? Why does he collect these items?
  4. Define the word “nostalgia”. Tell an event or a place that you experienced which you enjoyed so much that you took something home from it. What piece of “nostalgia” did you take home from there?
  5. Tell two ways collections can be organized.

    1. Go to the web site: under the video called “factmonster” and check out the funny titles people who collect various things are given. Write down two titles you think are funniest.
    2. All museums are merely places where we can go view all kinds of famous collections. Go to a museum and find a specific collection you really like. Write a short report on it to share with your class. (For example, it could be on a certain type of art, clothing, toys, tools, rocks, animals, or even Egyptian mummies!)
    3. Start a collection this very week! Choose something that interests you and that might be fun to go out and search for. (Examples: rocks, stamps, baseball cards, shells, dolls, hats, books….)
    4. Create a space where you will keep your collection.
