Video Description

THE BLESSING OF THE BIKES Join homeschooler Lynette, as she discovers all about bike riding in New York City. First she takes us to Bicycle Habitat to make sure her bike is safe and she has just the right helmet. Then its on to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, where we get to see the annual “blessing” and meet GLEN GOLDSTEIN, the founder of the event. Glen tells us that there are over a hundred thousand bike riders every day in the city. He says the most important thing about riding a bike in New York City is to always wear a helmet. He claims it is very safe there because the bikers are going just as fast as the rest of the traffic. An interesting, new episode, introduced just in time for National Bike Month.
