Kids Essay Contest
Contest Details
Essay Contest: First place winner will receive $1,000; second place winner will receive $750; and third place winner will receive $500. Winning essays will be posted on our website.
Art Contest: $100 for winning entry for each grade and a Museum baseball cap. Three honorable mentions from each grade will receive a special certificate and WWII Museum baseball cap. Artwork will be posted on our website.
Contest Guidelines
This year’s Middle School Art Contest asks students “How are Books Powerful?” Students in grades 5-8 are asked to create an original piece of art—based in part on the history of WWII—that answers that question.
It is through the study of our history that our students—in this ever-changing country—will come to recognize their common bonds, their responsibilities as citizens, and their boundless opportunities.
